                      WORLD CLASS BASS FISHING IN MEXICO

 

LAKE HUITES

Location: Mexico ’s West Coast

Length: 22 Miles Long

Largemouth Bass: Many trophy sized bass are taken weighing over 10 pounds each year, with some trophy class bass in the 15 pound range or bigger possible.

The port of entry for commercial air travelers is Los Mochis , located in the state of Sinaloa. Lake Huites was open to the public in October 1997. Anglers can expect to catch over 100 bass per day, on a variety of lures. Lake Huites could possibly be the best bass fishing lake in the world, for catching sheer numbers of bass per day.

 

LAKE COMEDERO

Location: Sierra Madre Mountains / 100 miles northeast of Mazatlan

Largemouth Bass: A great lake for numbers of big bass in the 8 to 12 pound range. Lake Comedero is also, without a doubt, the world’s best trophy bass lake. A bass weighing 19 pounds was taken by Oklahoma angler Ray Newman in 2002. Averages of 80-100 bass per day are common.

CAMP ACCOMMODATIONS : The camp consists of four small, quaint houses, each  with private air conditioned bedrooms. Purified, safe drinking water  is furnished. Margaritas and hors d’oeuvres delivered right to your room. Included is an elegant breakfast with fresh fruits, hot biscuits, bacon, eggs, pancakes, hash browns, coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. Shore line lunch with fresh filleted fish and French fries. Dinners are excellent consisting of charcoal grilled steaks, shrimp, Mexican dinners with a variety of mixed vegetables. All you can eat! LAKE EL SALTO

Location: 50 miles north of Mazatlan

Largemouth Bass: Easiest of all lakes for novice anglers to fish. Reports of over 100 fish per day are common. Bass weighing over 10 pounds possible every day.

CAMP ACCOMMODATIONS: Stay at club El Salto on the waters edge. A four building camp with a circular restaurant, overlooking the water’s edge of Lake El Salto, equipped with satellite Television. Restaurant serves a wonderful assortment of American, Mexican and local seafood dishes.

LOCATION: Manaus, South America

RIVER LENGTH: Over 100 miles of River Fishing on the

Amazon River Brazil, Rio Negro River, Brazil South America.

TRIP LENGTH: One Week

ACCOMMODATIONS: Fly from Miami, Florida on a wide bodied jet for a 5 hour flight to Manaus, at the junction of the Amazon River and Rio Negro Rivers in Brazil, South America.

 

QUARRY / THE PEACOCK BASS: Fishing for the awesome Peacock Bass. The most beautiful of all freshwater fish and one of the strongest fish in the world. Anglers can expect to encounter fish in the 10-20 pound class and some monsters topping 20 pounds.

THE RECORD STANDS AT 27 POUNDS. These are fierce, territorial, tackle-testing bass that jump, dive and fight like no other freshwater fish ever encountered. Peacock bass can break 30 pound test line, straighten out strong, saltwater hooks and even rip the hooks free from topwater lures that are 8-12 inches in length. Their electrifying strikes and aerial acrobatics have to be experienced to be believed!

 

THE AMAZON RIVER

The immensity of the Amazon basin reveals itself as you travel 300 miles from Manaus flying over the Amazon jungle to your destination. The Amazon River is the largest river in the world, with 10 tributaries larger than the Mississippi River. Some of these major tributaries run for miles into the Amazon forest and many are several miles wide.

 

A TRIPLE DECK HOUSEBOAT; Will be your home while enjoying your week long stay, exploring hundreds of miles of mostly virgin waters for the famed peacock bass. This is an air conditioned, diesel powered houseboat with private baths. Anglers will enjoy three hot meals a day, featuring a mixture of American and Brazilian dishes. There is an open bar for evenings relaxing after fishing and even a barbque steak dinner on the houseboat’s top deck, listening to the myriad of sounds coming from the mysterious rain forest. Each morning anglers are greeted with a 5 a.m. wake up call, fresh squeezed orange juice or a steaming hot cup of coffee. Then treated to a nice breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits or pancakes.
