America. TRIP LENGTH: One Week ACCOMMODATIONS: Fly from Miami, Florida on a wide bodied
jet for a 5 hour flight to Manaus, at the junction of the Amazon River and Rio
Negro Rivers in Brazil, South America. QUARRY / THE PEACOCK BASS: Fishing for the awesome
Peacock Bass. The most beautiful of all freshwater fish and one of the strongest
fish in the world. Anglers can expect to encounter fish in the 10-20 pound class
and some monsters topping 20 pounds. THE RECORD STANDS AT 27 POUNDS. These are fierce,
territorial, tackle-testing bass that jump, dive and fight like no other
freshwater fish ever encountered. Peacock bass can break 30 pound test line,
straighten out strong, saltwater hooks and even rip the hooks free from topwater
lures that are 8-12 inches in length. Their electrifying strikes and aerial
acrobatics have to be experienced to be believed! THE AMAZON RIVER The immensity of the Amazon basin reveals itself as you
travel 300 miles from Manaus flying over the Amazon jungle to your destination.
The Amazon River is the largest river in the world, with 10 tributaries larger
than the Mississippi River. Some of these major tributaries run for miles into
the Amazon forest and many are several miles wide. A TRIPLE DECK HOUSEBOAT; Will be your home while
enjoying your week long stay, exploring hundreds of miles of mostly virgin
waters for the famed peacock bass. This is an air conditioned, diesel powered
houseboat with private baths. Anglers will enjoy three hot meals a day,
featuring a mixture of American and Brazilian dishes. There is an open bar for
evenings relaxing after fishing and even a barbque steak dinner on the
houseboat’s top deck, listening to the myriad of sounds coming from the
mysterious rain forest. Each morning anglers are greeted with a 5 a.m. wake up
call, fresh squeezed orange juice or a steaming hot cup of coffee. Then treated
to a nice breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits or pancakes. A 17 FOOT AMERICAN MADE ALUMA-WELD BASS BOAT; Will be
your very comfortable way of fishing for the mighty peacock bass. Outfitted with
console, comfortable seats, and trolling motor. It is powered by a YAMAHA
outboard motor and accommodated by a well trained Brazilian guide, that will
