The 43rd Annual Birmingham Boat Show will be held at the Birmingham-Jefferson Convention Complex Thursday through Sunday, January 16 - January 19 of 2014.

In 1972 Bob Coffin and his brothers opened the very first, “Birmingham Sport and Boat Show.” Now simply called, “the Birmingham Boat Show.” Since then, this very popular four day wintertime attraction draws in boaters of all kinds, thousands of fishing enthusiests and loads of outdoors men, woman and kids. 
Many that hail from all over Alabama and some that come to this annual event bringing the entire family and often traveling many miles, from all over the entire southeast as well!
As owner of Reeds Guide Service I’ve manned a booth promoting my guide service at this very popular outdoor show held right downtown at the Birmingham - Jefferson Convention Complex, for over 20 years now.
It is a great spot to just mingle with old friends, other anglers and people from all walks of life. A place I look forward to each winter season where I talk to anglers for four days, about bass fishing every lake here in Alabama. While also displaying some big bass pictures as well in my booth!
Some anglers that come here to the Birmingham Boat Show booking guided fishing trips with me and my guide service (now over 40 years in existance) for fishing any lake in Alabama during any time in the year 2014!
Also for the past 12 years (now 13 years), I’ve held my Annual, “Reed Montgomery’s Kids Fishing Show” held each Saturday of the Birmingham Boat Show. I’ve actually seen some boys and girls ”grow up” in the last 12 years, with some kids still attending this event now as teenagers!
Showing over 500 kids and their parents attending this free admission kids show each year! Which includes dozens of free, donated prizes given away each year as well! So make plans to bring the kids! It is held at the down stairs stage around 1-2 p.m. on Saturday.
Also that Saturday night January 18 around 6-7 p.m. I will have a seminar on the downstairs stage on,”Springtime Bass Fishing Alabama’s Smith Lake and Logan Martin Lake! These are the 2014 Birmingham Boat Show featured lakes this year with many guest speakers featured to speak on each lake during the week as well, highlighting both lakes all throughout the boat show!
Dozens of boat dealers, fishing tackle manufactors and tackle dealers, with a giving away of a Wave Runner and much, much more! All at this year’s 2014 Birmingham Boat Show.
